Despite our best efforts, internet scammers are relentless in their pursuit to scam individuals. The focus of their efforts is collecting sensitive data (e.g., payment credentials) for monetary gain and/or identity theft.

Shiras Planetarium is an entity of Marquette Area Public Schools and is located within Marquette Senior High School. Below you will find information about our organization to verify the authenticity of our social media profiles, internet domains, email communications, payment descriptors and more. All of our email communications implement SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. These are email authentication methods that help prevent spam, phishing, and other email security risks. Payment Descriptors

Please ensure that charges are from our official payment processors.

Shiras Planetarium utilizes Stripe to process ticket transactions and any donations. These charges should show on your bank or credit card statements as “PLANETARIUM – MAPS”, but may be truncated or displayed in an altered way depending on your financial institution. Please check with them if you have any questions.
